Unfortunately there were some bureaucratic fumblings, so the paper doesn't appear to have made it into the proceedings. This is a huge disappointment, but things will probably work out. Kathryn has posted the location of the new paper to the PORT and portreview lists. The new version of the paper is attached to the original project home page at http://ella.slis.indiana.edu/~klabarre/unrev_firstpage.html or get there directly at http://ella.slis.indiana.edu/~klabarre/iccs2002_concept.doc The paper is relevant to the unrevprojectplan because it provides some intellectual or philosophical context for why we chose to follow the particular path we are following. The discussion from the portreview process, as well as Kathryn's discussions with faculty point to the need for some revision in the unrevprojectplan to move the focus away from the current investigations of clustering algorithms and ways to represent clusters in the database to the data structures and interfaces required to do the community-based evaluating and annotating of messages. Such a system will require a way of registering users and then authorizing and authenticating those users. Probably worth looking at my todoer and petremind code for some methods for doing authentication and registration. | [ Contact ] [ Old Blog ] [ New Blog ] [ Write ] [ AboutWarp ] [ Resume ] [ Search ] [ List Words ] [ Login ] |
